ADRENAL FATIGUE
Our bodies have been designed to respond to acute stress situations; however, modern society pushes the body to a constant state of stress due to the demand of the daily activities, school work, kids, parents, and goals we are trying to achieve.
Adrenal glands are responsible to coordinate the balance act of managing stress through the hormone Cortisol. |

The adrenal glands produce and release Cortisol within the first hours of waking up, and slowly decrease its production throughout the day. Overtime, the adrenal glands are unable to cope with the constant, rather than episodic stress, and balance is broken. Cortisol then, is released in a disorderly way not only in quantity, but also at different times, which causes a variety of symptoms such as: tiredness at mid-day or late afternoon, weight gain, unable to sleep well, increased susceptibility to infections, allergies and chemical sensitivities, anxiety and depression.
Dr. Acebo will propose a program that will help to restore, rebalance and reprogram your Cortisol level; this will be optimized and individualized to your specific Cortisol imbalance with special attention to your symptoms. |
